With the "Audio Game Maker" you can build your own audio games. Since audio games use only sound they are especially accessible for visually impaired gamers.
To create a new audio game you must first install the audio game maker. Then start the program by executing the file AudioGameMaker.exe
When you start the audio game maker you will enter the main menu.
Here you can manage your game file by creating new games, saving, loading and deleting games. You can also exit the audio game maker.
When you enter the audio environment you can control the builder. The builder enables you to place building blocks, find building blocks or select building blocks. You will also be able to skip quickly to building blocks. Here is an overview of the rest of the keys. Most of them are usable in the audio environment.
With the building blocks you will be able to create different types of game elements that will work together to form scenario's in your game.
For each building block you can set properties and set reactions that will determine how the building block will behave in your game. For each building block you will also be able to add sounds to its reactions, these sounds will be played whenever a reaction is called. You can manipulate building blocks with the help of the building block menu.
To import a sound you must find or create your own sound and place it inside the folder:
These sounds will automatically become available for inside the audio game maker program.
There is also a library of sounds that you can use in the folder:
The audio game maker software supports the use of .wav and .mp3 files
Some.wav files consists of multiple tracks, these need to be merged or mixed before AGM can use them. It would also be a good idea to use mono tracks, or to make sure that the stereo track has little difference between the left and right speaker, as AGM will simple pan the sound when it comes from your left or right. You should also make sure that the volume of your sound file is correct in relevance to the other sound files, as it is impossible to change the volume from within AGM. Your sound file is now ready to be used.
The name of the game will depend on the name that you give it when you create a new game.
