Using the building block audio menu

Whenever you select a building block inside the audio environment you will enter the building block audio menu.

Inside this menu you can adjust the building block's properties and reaction settings. So the first step in this menu is to choose to set properties or set reactions.

Set properties

When you choose to set the properties of the building block you will hear the first property in the property list of the building block. For example the property list of the player building block. Here the first property is xPos. When you press keyLEFT or keyRIGHT you can scroll trough the properties list and hear all the properties and it's values.

By pressing keySPACE you will select the property and be able to change it's value. Then by pressing keyLEFT and keyRIGHT you can increase and decrease the value or again scroll trough it's values, depending on the type of the values. To confirm the selected value you must press keySPACE. To cancel you must press keyESC.

Set reactions

When you choose to set the reactions of the building block you will hear the first reaction in the reaction list of the building block. For example the reaction list of the player building block. Here the first reaction is attack. When you press keyLEFT or keyRIGHT you can scroll trough the reactions list.

By pressing keySPACE you will select the reaction and are able to select what you want this reaction to do.

Options are none, set property or set reaction.

Set reaction sounds

When you choose to set the reaction sounds of the building block you will be able to add a sound to any reaction. When you press keyLEFT or keyRIGHT you can scroll trough the reactions list.

By pressing keySPACE you will select the reaction and are able to select what sound this reaction should play.

None

To disable the reaction choose none. The reaction will no longer trigger anything.

After this you return to the top of the building block's audio menu where you can choose to set a property or set a reaction.

Followup: set property

To set a followup property you can now select a property and then a value. The property will receive the value when the reaction is triggered in the game.

After this you return to the top of the building block's audio menu where you can choose to set a property or set a reaction.

Followup: set reaction

To set a followup reaction you can scroll trough the selected building block's reactions and select the one you want to use as a followup.

The 2 reactions are now linked together and the condition of the first reaction will now trigger the action of the followup reaction.

After this you return to the top of the building block's audio menu where you can choose to set a property or set a reaction.
